Yup i looked under animation and there's optimize and playback. I'm sorry not to have been more helpful (I'm still learning, too), but hopefully someone else will pop in to add better information. Also check requirements for any new software. The only thing I know for sure, when I'm wanting to try new software, is that it's good to make sure your system has been updated first. This release contains updates for video encoding/decoding, undo support for the storyboard feature and fixes for better compatibility with the GIMP 2.6.x releases. The only thing I know for sure, when I'm wanting to try new software, is that it's good to make sure your system has been updated first. GAP 2.6.0 is a stable release of the video menu intended for use with the GIMP 2.6.x series.

The fact that the terminal exited on its own, when you were installing, seems odd and might be why GAP didn't install correctly.
#GIMP GAP PACK UPGRADE#
I did encounter the same problem once, and if I remember correctly, I needed to upgrade the version of Gimp that I had at the time. Apparently you did open Gimp and check for the animation options, but they aren't there. Better PSD support: exporting of 16-bit files now available, reading/writing. Non-destructive cropping now available by cropping the canvas rather than actual pixels. Release highlights: Tool-group menus can now expand on hover. Gimp is a truly beautiful program, GAP just makes it better (and more fun!)ĮDIT: skym0366, I may have misunderstood your question (sometimes that happens). GIMP 2.10.20 comes with new features as well as important bugfixes. Here are a couple of links to tutorials to get you started. If, after installing GAP, you open Gimp and look through various menus ("Filters", for example), you should now see choices for animation that weren't there before.

It's an extension (perhaps "plug-in" might be a better word?) that gives you more tools and options when using Gimp.

GAP won't be found in your programs menus. I check my GIMP and its still not installed.ĭo i have to download something so i can fully install GAP? The at the end it said "0% waiting for headers" So i just followed th instructions there like type Y and N for yes or no. I typed this at the terminal sudo apt-get install gimp-gap. Can you guys help me on how i can install GAP?
